  • Hal’s Winter Storage 2009/2010

    There are limited spaces available and they are going fast!
    A $100.00 deposit reserves your spot!

    Winter is a great time to add ACCESSORIES, do some CUSTOMIZING or PERFORMANCE WORK, or get your next scheduled maintenance done! (2500, 5000, 7500 etc.)

    Hal’s Basic Package -Only $319.95 –sidecar (125.00)extra, Buell add $42.50

    FALL:

    • Drop your motorcycle off at Hal’s with a full tank of gas.
    • Stabilize the fuel and run the bike to treat the carburetor, jets, or fuel injectors against corrosion. Spray fogging oil through the intake to protect the cylinders, pistons, rings, and valve train against corrosion or gumming during storage.
    • Remove the battery, label it, and charge it once a month until spring, notifying you if a new battery might be needed in spring

    SPRING:

    • Any day before April 30th, a one-week notice is required for pick-up
    • Reinstall the battery and start engine.
    • Run engine to deplete fogging oil and install new spark plugs
    • Call you and let you know it’s ready to be picked up!

    FALL:

    • Drop your motorcycle off at Hal’s with a full tank of gas, you may wish to ride (weather permitting) until after the first of the year. That’s OK!
    • We will perform Hal’s 15-point inspection and recommend any maintenance or service you may want to do over winter.
    • Change the engine oil and filter.
    • Stabilize the fuel and run the bike to treat the fuel tank, carburetor, jets, or fuel injectors against corrosion.
    • Spray fogging oil through the intake to protect the cylinders, pistons, rings, and valve train against corrosion or gumming during storage.
    • Remove the battery, label it, and charge it once a month until spring, notifying you if a new battery might be needed in spring.
    • Clean and wash the bike prior to storage

    SPRING:

    • Any day before April 30th, a one-week notice is required for pickup.
    • Reinstall the battery and start engine
    • Run engine to deplete fogging oil and install new spark plugs
    • Re-check charging system and advise on condition of battery
    • Check all fluid levels and tire pressures, adjusting as necessary
    • Test ride the bike
    • Perform Hal’s 15-point inspection and advise on any recommended repair or maintenance.
    • Clean and wash the bike
    • Call you and let you know it is ready to be picked up!
